Expert: Shroud 'actual burial cloth of Jesus'
May 8, 2010 - Bruno Barberis, director of the International Center of Sindonology in Turin, Italy, believes that the Shroud of Turin is the authentic burial cloth of Jesus Christ.
- Barberis discounted the reliability of the carbon-14 dating tests conducted on the Shroud in 1988. He said the area of the Shroud where the sample for the carbon-14 tests had been taken were contaminated by medieval reweaving with cotton.
Barberis is a professor of mathematics at the University of Turin, and an internationally recognized expert on the Shroud of Turin. He has attended more than 800 conferences on the Shroud throughout the world.

The Jesus We'll Never Know
Apr. 12, 2010 - Scot McKnight writes that orthodox Christians have a theological concept of Jesus, drawn from the Gospel accounts of His life and ministry, but Jewish and liberal Christian scholars think they can determine "what Jesus was really like."
- Most historical Jesus scholars assume that the Gospels have overcooked their portrait of Jesus, and that the church's Trinitarian theology wildly exceeds anything Jesus thought about himself and anything the evangelists believed.
McKnight shows that most people tend to picture Jesus as a person like themselves (in their own image), and the “historical Jesus scholars” are guilty of doing the same thing. He says that the quest for this non-Biblical Jesus, in spite of the tremendous effort, has resulted in contradictory visions of Christ, and may well be forgotten completely in a generation or two.

3D-face creator says Shroud proves resurrection
April 2, 2010 - The History Channel has aired a two-hour documentary called, "The Real Face of Jesus?" in which a new 3D imaging technology has used the Shroud of Turin to recreate the shape of the face on the cloth. Ray Downing is the creator of the 3D computer technology that was used for the documentary. He said,
- "Viewed through the lens of science, the Shroud of Turin contains a code that when deciphered provides actual, physical evidence that the resurrection of Jesus Christ was an actual, historical event."

Jerusalem Bears Witness to Greatest Story
April 4, 2010 - Numerous sites in Jerusalem are powerful reminders that the Bible story of the death and resurrection of Christ are historically accurate. Some of these are:
- Two thousand year old olive trees still thriving in the Garden of Gethsemane
- An ancient Roman road from the Kidron Valley to the house of Caiphas
- Stones from the fortress of Pontus Pilate with the marks of a Roman soldier's game called "King for a Day"
- The Via Dolorosa or "The Way of the Cross" - the route Jesus took to His crucifixion
- The Garden Tomb
Chris Mitchell, CBN News Mideast Bureau Chief, who wrote the article says, "But perhaps the greatest proof of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ lies beyond the Old City walls of Jerusalem. It's the testimony of more than a billion Christians from every tongue and tribe who say their lives have been forever changed by the resurrected Jesus."

I Am Not Ashamed
March, 2010 - A national campaign has been launched by Answers In Genesis to encourage Christians to post and/or record their statement of faith in Jesus Christ. This is the message America needs the most, and it has grown to all areas of the media, including television, the Internet, and billboards.
Get involved by posting your own thoughts about Jesus, by being part of the world's first video Bible (you and your family may quote a portion of Scripture for all to see), or sponsoring media ads.

Church opens Shroud of Turin to public
Mar. 15 - The Catholic Church in Turin, Italy, will exhibit the Shroud of Turin, a linen relic that millions believe is the actual burial cloth of Jesus Christ, from April 10 through May 23. This will be the longest viewing in the shroud's modern history.
- The official website created by the Archdiocese of Turin for this year's exhibition estimates 2 million people will travel to Turin to view the shroud.
There is still active debate about whether or not the shroud is the burial cloth of Jesus.

Away With The Manger
Dec. 21, 2009 - Chuck Norris complains that, unlike previous presidents, Barack Obama ignores the real meaning of Christmas.
- Based upon President Obama's first year's utter disregard for America's Judeo-Christian heritage and promotion of a secular-progressive agenda and pro-Islamic platforms, the only white Christmas I would count on at the White House is a continued whitewashing of religious tradition.
Norris gives examples of earlier Presidents who were not afraid to stand up for belief in the babe who was born in Bethlehem.

Behold His Glory – The History Behind the Nativity Story
Dec. 26, 2008 - Dr. Ted Baher reminds readers of MovieGuide.org that they can have complete faith in the New Testament documents and what they say about the virgin birth, divinity, crucifixion, resurrection, and teachings of Jesus Christ.
He explains that historians use two standard tests for determining the reliability of an ancient document like the New Testament. The first one is the bibliographic test. He summarizes the overwhelming scholarship applied to the thousands of ancient copies and fragments of the New Testament, and quotes Christian scholar and philosopher Norman L. Geisler:
- "The New Testament writings are superior to comparable ancient writings. The records for the New Testament are vastly more abundant, clearly more ancient, and considerably more accurate in their text."
The second test is the external test, which analyzes what external sources say about the document. He shows that historians of all ages have been satisfied about the evidence that the Bible is reliable. He says, "When all is said and done, the evidence for the historical reliability of the New Testament documents is in fact better than the evidence for Julius Caesar or any other historical figure in the ancient world."
